Not all mentorship models are the same

At Saint Visage, mentorship is principal-led, with more direct involvement in your progress and development. In larger corporate dental groups, support may sit within wider management structures.

Saint Visage Dental Group

Principal-Led Mentorship

Delivered within principal-led clinics

Mentorship is embedded at clinic level by the principal who owns and runs the practice

Your mentor has direct stake in performance

Your mentor is more likely to have a direct stake in clinic performance and your development

If you underperform, the owner is affected

The clinic owner is directly impacted — creating genuine accountability and investment in your growth

Day-to-day guidance embedded in practice

Support is part of your working day — not a scheduled check-in separate from clinical life

Closer oversight of cases and progression

Your cases are reviewed regularly by someone who is present and personally accountable

Other Dental Groups

Associate-Led Mentorship

Delivered within corporate structures

Mentorship is often managed within wider corporate layers rather than at clinic level

Less direct stake in your performance

Mentors may have little connection to the clinic's day-to-day results or your outcomes

Your performance doesn't directly affect them

The person mentoring you may not be impacted by how you develop or perform

Periodic, delegated or system-led support

Guidance may be scheduled rather than embedded — and often delegated across management

Oversight across wider management layers

Case oversight may sit with managers who are removed from your day-to-day clinical work

The support made all the difference

Three associates. Three different starting points. One associate dentist programme that gave each of them the mentorship, structure and confidence they needed to build a career they’re proud of.

The courses that make the real difference

As part of the programme, we will provide each dentist with high-quality workshops and courses which allow them to unlock private income.

Clear Aligners

Full Invisalign provider certification included. Aligner therapy is now a core part of every high-earning associate's private mix.

Communication Training

Treatment presentation, private case conversion, and patient rapport-building. The skill most dentists are never taught — and the one that determines your income.

Veneer Preparations

Minimal prep and no-prep veneer techniques, temporisation, cementation protocols, and managing patient expectations for high-value cosmetic cases.

Digital Dentistry

Intraoral scanning, CAD/CAM workflows, and digital treatment planning. The future of clinical dentistry — and a major differentiator for patient experience.

Endodontics

Rotary instrumentation, canal location, and complex root canal therapy. Retain more patients in-house and significantly increase per-appointment revenue.

Denture Impressions

Mastering primary and secondary denture impression techniques to consistently deliver high-quality, well-fitting dentures for optimal patient outcomes.

200+ Clinicians, One Programme

Associates from across the world, now building long-term careers at our 40+ UK clinics.

The Associate Dentist Programme is a Beginning, Not a Ceiling

By the end of Year 3 you are a fully developed, high-earning clinician. Saint Visage supports whichever path you choose next — and most of our associates go on to something bigger than they anticipated when they started.

Option 01Specialist Pathway

Progress into advanced specialist training — implantology, orthodontics, or oral surgery — with Saint Visage supporting your development. The £6,000 MSc contribution is a starting point, not a ceiling, for associates who want to go further.

Option 02Clinical Lead

Become a clinical lead supporting newly qualified dentists, sharing your experience to help them build confidence, improve clinical decision-making, and develop consistency in patient care while taking on greater responsibility within the practice.

Option 03Practice Partnership

Join as a clinical partner within Saint Visage. Take a share in an existing clinic or operate a site of your own — with the group's infrastructure, support and brand behind you. Several of our ADP graduates are already practice partners.

Already thinking about what comes next?

We discuss long-term career goals at the application stage — not just at the end of Year 3. Tell us where you want to be and we'll build the programme around that ambition.

Everything you need to know

How do I enrol onto the Associate Development Programme?
Contact our careers team via WhatsApp on +44 7582 411 111 or email careers@saintvisage.co.uk. All applications start with an online meeting with our management team, followed by a clinical conversation to understand your background and how much support you’ll need. There is no pass or fail at this stage.
I don't have clinical experience — am I suitable?
That’s exactly what this programme is built for. Associates arrive with academic knowledge and we provide the structured, supervised clinical environment to turn that into real-world skill. Your first two weeks are entirely one-to-one with a senior clinician before you see any patient independently.
The GDC process seems complicated — how do you help?

It is complicated — but we handle all of it. Our team manages the entire GDC application, books your ORE/UKFP dates, prepares your documents, and guides you through every step. GDC registration typically takes 2–6 months and we monitor progress throughout.

Do I need to pass IELTS?

You are exempt if you graduated from a dental degree taught and examined in English within the last two years. If required, the pass mark is 6.5 in each subsection and 7.0 overall. We guide you through this as part of onboarding.

What locations will I be offered?

Every associate is offered a minimum of four clinic locations across our 40+ sites in England and Scotland, matched to your personal and professional preferences before you commit. Certain NHS locations may also qualify for a relocation grant of £10,000–£20,000.

What costs does Saint Visage cover?

GDC registration fees, visa and immigration costs, Home Office fees, legal representation, NHS Performers List registration, DBS checks, indemnity setup, and all clinical course fees throughout the programme. A £6,000 contribution towards a postgraduate MSc is also included.

What happens after the 3 years?

You’ll have multiple options — practice partnership within Saint Visage, joining the mentoring academy to guide incoming associates, entering a specialist pathway (implantology, orthodontics, oral surgery), or continuing as a high-earning independent associate.

I can't afford to relocate to the UK — is that a problem?
No. Saint Visage covers GDC registration, visa fees, all Home Office costs, and legal representation. We also provide relocation support including help opening a UK bank account and understanding UK tax. Additionally, depending on your NHS placement location, you may be eligible for an NHS relocation grant of £10,000 – £20,000.
What is a GDC Number and do I need one to apply?
The GDC Number is assigned by the General Dental Council and is mandatory before practising in the UK. If you don’t have one yet, we manage the full application on your behalf — including from overseas, with no need to return to your university.
Am I suitable if I qualified outside the EU/EEA?

Yes — if you have passed both parts of the ORE exam, we can consider you for the programme and arrange PLVE mentorship so you can obtain your Performer Number. You can also apply before completing Part 2 — we’ll have everything prepared for when you pass.

What will I actually earn — and what if it's not enough?

Associates on the programme earn £100k–£150k in Year 1, rising to £150k–£200k in Year 2 and £150k–£250k in Year 3. These are real figures from associates currently on the programme combining NHS, private, and cosmetic income — not projections.

I already have my GDC number — can I still apply?

Yes, absolutely. You skip the registration stage and go straight to a clinical conversation with our team. We’ll understand your experience level and match you to the right entry point in the programme — there is no pass or fail.

Can I bring my family?

Yes. Dependent visas for spouses and children are included in our visa support. We also assist with school research, housing advice, and NHS registration for family members.

What happens if my degree doesn't qualify?

If you hold a dental degree from a recognised university you are likely eligible. We assess each application individually and guide you through the GDC’s Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) if required. Apply first — we’ll tell you exactly where you stand.

Ready to Begin?

Whether you’re still studying, recently graduated, or already have your GDC number, we’d love to hear from you. No commitment required.
