We are not a recruitment agency. We are a clinically led dental group that invests in the dentists who join us — from first registration through to principal ownership.

Over 1,000 overseas dentists supported into UK practice

Post-Brexit, EU and EEA-qualified dentists must apply for GDC registration directly — a process that is well-established for those who approach it correctly. Saint Visage has deep experience with this route: we handle the administration, cover the costs, and provide full support from application to clinical practice.

Passing ORE or LDS is only the beginning

For dentists qualified outside the UK and EEA, the ORE and LDS examinations provide the route to GDC registration. Saint Visage supports internationally qualified dentists through the period immediately after — PLVE, relocation, UK clinical induction — and into a structured long-term development programme.

International

ORE — Overseas Registration Exam

Two-part exam (written and clinical) set by the Royal College of Surgeons. Both parts required for GDC eligibility.

LDS — Licentiate in Dental Surgery

Alternative qualification route via the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh — also leads to GDC registration.

PLVE Mentor Provided

Where PLVE is required, Saint Visage provides a qualified mentor and an appropriate practice environment.

Relocation & Onboarding

Accommodation guidance, HMRC setup, banking introduction — the practical side of arriving in the UK.

PLVE

The transition stage most overseas dentists underestimate

For internationally qualified dentists, the period immediately after GDC registration is the most critical — and the most overlooked. PLVE is not just a formality. It shapes how you enter UK clinical practice, how quickly you build confidence, and how well you adapt to a new system.

Saint Visage provides an environment where this transition is structured, closely supported, and genuinely invested in.

Support with GDC registration,
relocation and onboarding

ORE & LDS Route Guidance

Please note: Support available varies depending on qualification route, eligibility, registration status, and current regulatory requirements. Our careers team will confirm what applies to your specific situation at the point of application.

The pathway is the entry, the programme is the opportunity

Year OneClinical Confidence

Year TwoAdvanced Practice

Cosmetic and restorative dentistry, funded postgraduate courses and diplomas, and the commercial awareness needed for the next stage of your career.

Frequently asked questions about dentist pathways, PLVE, ORE and LDS

What is the dentist pathway for working in the UK?
The dentist pathway into UK practice depends on where you qualified. UK graduates complete DFT or VT before moving into associate practice. EU and EEA dentists must apply for GDC registration, often with IELTS. Internationally qualified dentists outside the UK and EEA must pass the ORE or LDS examinations before applying for GDC registration. Saint Visage supports dentists at every stage of all three routes.
Can Saint Visage support dentists after the ORE or LDS?
Yes. We support internationally qualified dentists through the period following ORE or LDS — including GDC registration, PLVE mentor provision where required, relocation assistance, and a structured induction into UK clinical practice.
Do you offer PLVE support for overseas dentists?

Yes. Where PLVE is required as part of your NHS Performers List registration, Saint Visage can provide an appropriate practice environment and a qualified PLVE mentor. Availability depends on your registration status and qualification route — our careers team will confirm what applies to your specific situation.

Can EU dentists work in the UK through Saint Visage?

Yes. EU and EEA-qualified dentists can join Saint Visage once they hold GDC registration, or we can support them through the application process. We have supported over 1,000 overseas dental professionals with GDC registration. We handle document preparation, application submission, case monitoring, and cover visa and legal fees for qualifying candidates.

Do you help with ORE or LDS pathways?

We provide route guidance to help internationally qualified dentists understand whether ORE or LDS is the right route, and what the process involves from start to finish. We do not offer exam tuition, but we fully support the planning and administrative aspects and are ready to begin onboarding once you have passed.

What mentorship do dentists receive at Saint Visage?

Every dentist joining Saint Visage is assigned a dedicated mentor — a senior clinician who provides clinical guidance, feedback, and professional development support throughout the three-year Development Programme.

Do you support relocation for dentists moving to the UK?

Yes. For dentists relocating from abroad, we provide guidance on accommodation, HMRC and National Insurance registration, banking setup, and general UK orientation. Relocation support varies by route and registration status — our careers team will outline what applies to your circumstances.
