We are seeking an Associate Dentist to join our practice in Grangetown, Sunderland.

This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week on a 3-year contract. We are looking for a dentist with moderate clinical experience who is able to provide general dental care within a mixed NHS and private practice.

The successful candidate will have access to clinical training and ongoing support as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general dental care across NHS and private dentistry
• Assess, diagnose and treat patients in line with professional standards
• Maintain accurate and appropriate clinical records
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding their treatment and care
• Work effectively with the wider dental team
• Maintain high standards of clinical care and patient safety
• Participate in relevant training and professional development

Requirements

• GDC registration is preferred
• Moderate clinical experience
• Experience providing general dental treatment
• Ability to work across a mixed NHS and private patient base
• Good communication and patient management skills
• Professional approach to patient care
• Commitment to maintaining and developing clinical skills

Contract Details

• Contract: 3 years
• Hours: Full time
• Working days: 5 days per week
• Practice: Mixed NHS and private
• UDA rate: £10 – £12 per UDA

Training & Development

Courses will be provided as part of the role, including:

• Communication skills
• Composite bonding and restorative dentistry
• Clear aligner treatment

The role also includes structured onboarding and support to help the successful candidate settle into the practice and develop within the role.

Visa and sponsorship support is available for eligible overseas candidates.
